NEWS:2face Idibia Singer to receive honorary degree from Igbinedion university
Iconic singer 2face Idibia has been selected among the list of Nigerians who will receive honorary degrees from Igbinedion University in Okada, Edo State,
The legendary singer made this announcement on his Instagram page last night, May 4, 2016.
"Ladies
and gentlemen! I’m plsd 2 let u know that I’m going 2 be Conferred with
an honorary degree @ Igbinedion University on the 10th of may in okada,” the ‘African Queen’ singer said, adding, “U are all invited. #GRATEFUL#igbinedionuniversity Thank u for the honour.”
2Face will also co-headline this year's edition of 'Buckwyld ‘n’ Breathless: The Disruption', alongside other top artists.
2Face, real name Innocent Ujah Idibia, rose to fame after Kennis Music released his debut album, 'Face 2 Face' in May 2004.
In months, the former Plantashun Boiz vocalist sold two million copies, establishing himself Africa’s best.
Some of the awards he has won include: Channel O Music Video Awards, Soundcity Music Video Awards, MTV Africa Music Awards, BET Best International Act: Africa, ThisDay Awards (presented to him by the former U.S. President, Bill Clinton), World Music Awards, Black Heritage Awards for Excellence and Nigerian Music Awards.
